A new take on your burger and fries all wrapped up in one casserole! I got this recipe from my Mother-in-Law, Peggy, and it's one of my husband's favorite meals. I never made it until after she passed away from cancer, but now everyone I make it for loves it!

Equipment
1 9x13 pan the deeper the better, at least 2"
1 Offset spatula or silicone spatula Offset is easiest, but a regular silicone spatula works
Ingredients
2lbsGround beef
1/2 Onion, choppedI use sweet vidalia, white or Spanish
16American cheese slicesuse your favorite American cheese
1can Cream of Mushroom or Celery soup
1bagFrozen fast food style french fries or your favorite frozen french fries
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Mix hamburger and onion and spread into the bottom of a 9 x 13 x 2” baking dish. Put the American cheese slices in one layer on the hamburger mixture. Spread the cream of mushroom (celery) soup over the cheese (like icing). Spread the frozen French fries over the top. Bake for one hour.
